# How frequently is data updated within Screena?

By default, [public watchlists](https://help.screena.ai/resources/faq/watchlists/which-lists-are-available-out-of-the-box), also known as Open Source Intelligence lists (OSINT), are refreshed into Screena **every 3 hours**. It is possible to adjust that frequency based on risk appetite.

Commercial Off-The-Shelve lists (COTS) are scheduled for update as soon as vendors publish data.
