# Starting Screena application

Please follow the steps to restart Screena Portal in this order:

Enter this command to check if Screena application is running:

```shell
/opt/request/startScreena.sh status
```

* If you get `Screena is stopped` as a response, then use [Start command](https://help.screena.ai/resources/how-to/start-screena-portal/starting-screena-application/start-command) to start Screena application.
* If you get `Screena (pid) is running` as a response, then use [Restart command](https://help.screena.ai/resources/how-to/start-screena-portal/starting-screena-application/restart-command) to restart Screena application.
